Programs and Services

St. Paul Catholic Elementary School offers many programs and services to meet the individual needs of all of our students.

Breakfast Program

Our popular Breakfast Program serves approximately 150 students a day, and begins the first week of school. The Breakfast Program is funded by the Foods for Kids program and through donations. Donations of apples, oranges, bananas, marble cheese, apple juice, bread, bagels and margarine are gratefully accepted, and help to keep our students nourished and ready to learn.

The program is open to all students and runs out of the school's kitchen from 8:30 a.m to 8:45 a.m. for students. The program is staffed by volunteers who promote healthy living, value a healthy breakfast, and who are willing to donate one to two hours of their time in the morning. If you are available to volunteer on a weekday morning, please call the school at 705-639-2191.

Child Care & Family Hub

We are very fortunate to have a before and after school childcare service offered in St. Paul's school, Hucklebug Childcare Inc. We are also associated with the Peterborough Family Resource Centre's Norwood Hub run out of Norwood District High School and have their own separate entrance.

Special Education

Our School Board also delivers programs and supports that enable all students to reach their highest potential. Visit Special Education Services and learn about the Board's Autism classrooms, Snoezelen rooms, and speech and language services.

In addition to the above mentioned programs and services , you can read about French Immersion offered at specific schools, or browse some of our community resource links gathered as information sources for you.
